USUAA Faculty and Students Took Part in the 100+ TechnoBuild Forum
On October 2, the Ural State University of Architecture and Art hosted a session as part of the 13th International Construction Forum and Exhibition “100+ TechnoBuild” (https://forum-100.ru/). University faculty and students delivered presentations and participated in expert discussions.
In the session titled "Contrasts Between the Modern and the Traditional in the Transformation of Architectural Heritage" (moderated by Professor Alexander V. Dolgov), presentations focused on preserving cultural heritage sites within a rapidly developing city. Discussions covered the shift from traditional methods to a diverse range of conservation approaches and the limits of permissible intervention in historic structures. The participants discussed specific heritage conservation projects.

USUAA students presented their work in the session "Architecture: A Voice for the Youth" (moderated Professor by Ulyana V. Permyakova).
The session "New Formats for Urban Planning Foresights" (moderated by Professor Marina N. Divakova) brought together faculty members and industry practitioners. Presentations summarized the historical and urban planning principles for small towns, presented a city zoning analysis based on a creative industries potential index, and examined master-planning tools used in the training of urban architects.
Also, USUAA faculty members spoke at sessions dedicated to "New Information Technologies for Architectural Heritage Preservation" and "Territorial Redevelopment."
Participation in a forum of this caliber enabled USUAA faculty to exchange experiences with colleagues, strengthen professional ties, and showcase the university as an active participant in the development of Russia’s architecture and construction sectors.
